1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using GuzoRide's mobile application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our services.
2. Services Provided
GuzoRide provides ride-hailing and taxi services in Ethiopia, connecting riders with verified drivers. Our services include:
- On-demand ride booking through our mobile application
- Real-time driver matching and ride tracking
- Secure payment processing (cash and Telebirr mobile money)
- Customer support and assistance
- Driver verification and safety measures
GuzoRide acts as an intermediary platform connecting riders with independent drivers. We do not own or operate vehicles, and drivers are independent contractors, not employees of GuzoRide.
3. User Responsibilities
As a user of GuzoRide, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- Use only Ethiopia phone numbers for registration and OTP verification
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Treat drivers with respect and follow their reasonable instructions
- Pay all fares and fees promptly using accepted payment methods
- Not engage in any illegal activities during rides
- Not damage or interfere with vehicles or driver property
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Ethiopia
4. Payment Terms
Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and applicable rates. You agree to pay the fare displayed in the app at the time of booking. Payment can be made in cash or through Telebirr mobile money as available. All fares are in Ethiopian Birr (ETB).
If you fail to pay a fare, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account. Refunds are provided only in accordance with our refund policy and applicable law.
5. Safety and Conduct
Your safety is our priority. However, you acknowledge that:
- You use our services at your own risk
- GuzoRide does not guarantee the safety, reliability, or quality of drivers or vehicles
- You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your belongings
- You should verify driver identity and vehicle information before entering
- You must report any safety concerns or incidents immediately
We reserve the right to suspend or ban users who engage in inappropriate, dangerous, or illegal behavior.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel a ride request before a driver accepts it without penalty. If you cancel after a driver has accepted, cancellation fees may apply. If a driver cancels after accepting, you will not be charged.
Refunds are provided at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law. To request a refund, contact our support team at [email protected].
7. Limitation of Liability
GuzoRide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for rides in the 30 days preceding the claim.
We are not responsible for the actions, conduct, or negligence of drivers. Any disputes between riders and drivers should be resolved directly or through appropriate legal channels.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the GuzoRide app, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by GuzoRide and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of our app without our written permission.
9. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, illegal activity, fraud, or any other reason we deem necessary. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through our app. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Ethiopia. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Ethiopia.
